Sigma 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DC MACRO OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Pentax K - 886109

Sigma's 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM Contemporary Lens for Pentax K is another addition to the Sigma Global Vision Contemporary line. Designed for APS-C cameras, it offers a 27-450mm equivalent and incorporates state-of-the-art Sigma technology. This version also offers optical image stabilization for reducing the effects of camera shake at longer focal lengths and slower shutter speeds. The lens also has a maximum aperture range of f/3.5-6.3 and benefits from the inclusion of one SLD and four FLD elements. Additionally, a Super Multi-Layer coating on the elements results in less flare, improved image contrast and true color fidelity. This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning different lens characteristics and updating its firmware. It offers a 76.5° - 5.4° angle of view and accepts 72mm front end filters.

F Low Dispersion Glass (FLD)

Sigma's FLD glass stands for F Low Dispersion, constructed from a material equal in performance to flourite glass.  This specially engineered optic element allows for exceptional correction for residual chromatic aberration.  Its density is less than traditional glass, allowing the overall construction of the lens to be lighter and more efficient. 

Rounded Diaphragm

When photographing with point light sources such as electric lights or reflections on a body of water in the background, the rounded 7-blade diaphragm helps produce an attractive bokeh effect - even at large-aperture settings.
